Michelle left the Midwest in 1989 to study at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, PA, where she earned an MFA in Fiber Arts. As someone who has always valued working with her hands, over the years she came to realize the connection between a tangle of fibers and the tangle that life’s stressors create in the ribbons of tissue and muscles of the human body. And that their untangling was also similar. Human beings and their
miraculous, complex bodies became the focus of her most meaningful work. Now bodywork is the form of art that has become her passion.
In 2000 Michelle became a massage therapist and has been working with people ever since. She has witnessed how the many types of exceptional, healing therapies can soften the aches and pains of life. She works with clients from the pediatric years to the geriatric years, as well as everyone in between. She has supported those with injuries
and those who are in excellent health.
She continually updates her studies as a Licensed Massage Therapist, keeping abreast of the latest research and participating in ongoing professional development programs.
She has done advanced work in Craniosacral, Conscious Connected Breathing, Cupping, Ayurveda treatments, Energy work and Deep Tissue techniques. “Hands are
wise and know the way to healing and health” is one of Michelle’s mantras.
Michelle also believes that “self-care is the best health-care.”

Deep tissue massage eases chronic muscle tension and pain caused by injury or overuse. Adhesions in the muscle, tendons, and ligaments block circulation creating inflammation and limit mobility. Deep pressure and friction applied to the muscle breaks down the adhesions, relieving pain and restoring normal movement to the muscle.

Cupping is a technique using glass or plastic cups to suction the tissue upwards improving circulation to the tissues. Where as massage creates a consistent pressure downward cupping draws skin into the cup, releasing tension with a longer consistent hold, there are benefits you can't get with massage alone.

The primary regions of treatment are head (the cranium), torso and base of the spine (the sacrum). A craniosacral session can restore the body’s rhythm to help bring back balance, assist the body in self-regulation as a whole and improve the flow and the exchange of all body fluids, resulting in a greater well-being and deep relaxation. It is a gentle release of bound up tension in the body. This modality is a non-invasive approach to healing that promotes craniosacral rhythm, and the health of the whole person. The client is fully clothed during this treatment.

Raindrop Therapy uses massage techniques and essential oils applied on the spinal column to bring structural and electrical alignment. It is designed to bring balance to the body with its relaxing and mild application. It will help align the energy centers of the body and release any blockages without using hard pressure or trying to force the body to change. The treatment enhances relaxation and promotes a healthy immune system. The oils used are: Thyme, Oregano, Cypress, Wintergreen, Basil, Peppermint, Marjoram, and Aroma Siez.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. A low life force energy makes us more likely to get sick or feel stress, a high life force energy makes us more capable of being happy and healthy. Experience a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you during treatment.

Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement from which everyone can benefit. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

In a conscious, connected breathing session the client will first explore issues to overcome during the first 30-60 minute period. This is followed by a conscious breathing session for another 50-60 minutes. Breathing is full and relaxed, you will learn how to consciously connect your breath, and find your own rhythm. Integrate your past experiences into your life to gain acceptance, peace and harmony.
